Information we collect

• Checkout details: your name, email address, mobile phone number (optional), shipping address and the parts you order.
• Payment details: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Vehicle details: VINs, license plates and the year, make and model you search for.
• Assistant messages: the questions you type into our AI parts assistant.
• Cart session: a session cookie that keeps your cart.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected for security and site analytics.
• SMS consent records: described below.

How we use your information

• To process and ship orders and to contact you about them.
• To check that parts fit your vehicle.
• To answer your questions through the assistant and email.
• To prevent fraud and abuse and to meet legal obligations.
• To send text messages, only if you opt in, as described below.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent

Giving us a mobile number is optional. We use your number for text messages only if you check one or both of the separate, unchecked text message boxes at checkout.

• What we record: your phone number, which type of message you agreed to (order and customer support, or marketing), whether consent is active or revoked, the date and time, where you gave it (checkout), and the version of the disclosure text you saw.
• Why: to send the messages you asked for, to honor STOP requests, and to keep proof that you consented.
• SMS delivery provider: Twilio processes mobile phone numbers and message-delivery information on our behalf to deliver the text messages you requested.
• Your choices: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Revoked consent is kept as a record so we do not text you again.
• No sharing for marketing: we do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information, or consent data, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data is not shared with any third parties except service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
• Consent to marketing messages is never required to buy anything.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the store, and only what they need:

• Parts suppliers receive the shipping details and items needed to fulfill your order.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Twilio processes mobile phone numbers and message-delivery information to deliver text messages on our behalf.
• OpenAI processes messages sent to the AI assistant to generate replies.
• CarsXE looks up vehicle details from a license plate, and the U.S. NHTSA database decodes VINs.
• Vercel hosts the website and provides site analytics.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for your cart. We do not use advertising cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies on the payment form to prevent fraud.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what personal information we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell it. To make a request, email admin@vincheapparts.com.

Security and children

We use encrypted connections and limit access to your information. No system is perfectly secure. Our store is not meant for children under 13.
